Meet the new crew!

The Parrots LaFitte and Rosie are Solomon Island Eclectus. LaFitte is 4 months old and Rosie is 6 months. Rosie, Red-headed with a blue breast and purple wings, is the female of the species, while LaFitte, in an almost neon green with red under wings and blue carpals and tailfeathers, is the male. Solomon Island Eclectus are a colony type species of parrot, meaning they dont bond to one particular wingmate. This greatly helps them in their ability to cope with the large amounts of both public and crew that they are subjected to. Also in the 'crowd' mentality, they really seem to thrive on all the commotion that goes with life aboard a Tallship. These two are our second and third Eclectus respectively, and all of them dive into their water and take a bath every time the ship makes way!

Soon we'll feature a column detailing the upcoming adventures of the Royaliste from their 'eyes', and perhaps provide some insight into both adventuring on a Tallship, and the life of being parrots aboard an active Privateer/Pirate ship!....
